View over Joalah National Park to the North
Tamborine Mountain is surrounded by six National Parks and has a further six patches of rain forest on top of the plateau. Joalah National Park is topped by Curtis Falls and follows the creek down into the valley shown here.
The bangalow or picabeen palm trees are a feature of the forests around the mountain and palm seedlings are likely to sprout up anywhere because of the distribution of the seed by birds.
