Commercial flower growing used to be a significant industry on Tamborine Mountain. The fertile soils and climate enable a vast range of flowers to be grown almost all the year round. The lights you see in the fields at night are more likely to be to try to bring chrysanthemums into flower exactly on Mother’s Day rather than UFO’s!
