“Leurella Views” is a dreamy older cottage that appears to date back to somewhere in the late 1950s. It has been loved and gently modernised by various owners over time, but thankfully, has not lost its romantic cosy feel of yesterday. It sits on the high side of the street and looks out to some fantastic views that by day take in various parts of the Gold Coast including Burleigh Heads down to the Tweed and a most dramatic view over the wild ridges to the top of Mount Warning. At night, the area of the Gold Coast that is partly obscured by trees just becomes a line of twinkling lights for your enjoyment.

The cottage offers very comfortable accommodation for 5 people with a soft lounge suite and more soft lounge chairs in the delightful north-east facing sunroom. Insect screened windows can be slid open to bring the cool sea breezes into the sunroom in warmer weather so you can create a sense of indoor / outdoor living here. The front deck is quite wide and equipped with a modern outdoor setting for 6 people.

The garden here reflects both the passing of the years and a great amount of tender loving care that has been invested in it over more recent years. There is a row of ancient pines along the south-western boundary that forms an excellent wind break and also gives real privacy for the beautiful side garden with its round open space and garden bench for just sitting out with the many birds that frequent the trees here. There are open lawns, garden beds and bird baths too as well as wonderful Jacarandahs and other ornamental trees including some English trees that turn beautiful shades in Autumn.

“Leurella Views” will especially appeal to golfers and people who are looking to stay on Tamborine Mountain as part of a larger group. It is within sight of and just a couple of minutes walk of “Point Of View”, “Holiday Haven” and “Grand View Lodge”. These 4 cottages together can accommodate 22 people. “Aquila Lodge” is also close by and can accommodate a further 6 people. Groups wanting to book them all at the same time will need to book a long way in advance as they are all very popular.
