“Illallangi” is part of the 11 lot acreage estate known as “Numala” carved out of an old cattle grazing property and hidden on the north-eastern escarpment of Mount Tamborine. There is only one access into “Numala” and that is via an electronically controlled gate managed by a security intercom system. At 31 acres, “Illallangi” is the largest acreage here except for the 96 acres of wilderness which it adjoins on its eastern boundary and which is owned in common by the 11 individual property owners. Water from communal bores on “Numala” is piped to each property and “Illallangi” also has 92,000 litres of rainwater storage flowing from its massive roof.

“Illallangi” actually means “a home in the clouds” in the local Aboriginal language. Sometimes it will be in the clouds, but most of the time it will be looking down into those incredible views that include nearby ridges and deep gorges as well as the unending views out to where the sky meets the sea.
