“Woodleigh Homestead” is a profitable, self-contained accommodation retreat on 5 acres of lush Tamborine Mountain land operating with 6 holiday units and a 3 bedroom caretaker’s / guest cottage. It includes a low set, spacious 3 bedroom ensuite luxury family home with 2 separate living areas plus extensive verandahs and decks. The entire property is extremely private with good separation between the guest accommodation and the private home. It is all fully fenced and divided into paddocks and garden areas and accessed via a long, fenced bitumen driveway from the ultra-quiet court. Both the home and guest accommodation enjoy stunning views down over rainforest clad ridges and open valleys right up to Lamington National Park as well as out to the southern end of the Gold Coast.

The low set 3 bedroom ensuite home has classic traditional Federation lines with ample shady verandahs all surrounded by well kept gardens enclosed by white picket fencing. An impressive entry door leads to a wide tiled hallway that gives access to the carpeted formal lounge and semi-separate formal dining that both look out over the picturesque front gardens. It also includes 2 studio suites that are smaller and do not include spa tubs although they do have kitchenettes in the open sleeping and sitting areas. The 3 bedroom manager’s residence / guest house includes full kitchen, open plan living and full bathroom as well as decks for superb views.

The entire property is presented as an open park with grazing areas, gardens and many native trees. The area running along the cliff edge has been set up as a true picnic park with open air and covered tables as well as a gas BBQ and a wood BBQ closer to the house. There is 100,000 litres of rainwater storage on the property as well as a good water bore to keep everything always looking its green tropical best. Two very friendly miniature horses and one alpaca also reside here and will stay on as this is their happy home and they do provide pleasure for guests.

Overall, “Woodleigh Homestead” is a long established and well know accommodation venue that is positioned on Mt. Tamborine to invite guests who want to explore the plateau itself, take a trip to Lamington National Park or attend a wedding at Canungra. It would also have appeal to folk coming to visit relatives at the Canungra Army Base. Innovative people might think of some small improvements that could be made, but there certainly nothing that needs doing right now to add into the equation.
