Moreton Bay

The Northern and Eastern edge and slopes of Tamborine Mountain have excellent views overlooking Moreton Bay and the Stradbroke Islands. Some houses are lucky enough to have 270° views from Coolangatta in the South to Brisbane and towards Toowoomba in the West. Here the view is looking North-East out over South Stradbroke Island.
While palms grow abundantly in the gardens and forests on the mountain, the couple in the right side of the photo look more like a ‘foxtail’ palm from Northern Queensland than the native Piccabeen (or Bangalow) palm.
