Sometimes you see a piece of land that just feels right. That’s how
I felt when I walked through the impressive front gates onto this block & looked
around me. I looked back down the street & realised I could see a glimpse
of the Gold Coast & ocean. Then I walked further into the open, clean & tidy
grassed area and noticed a more north-easterly view looking down towards Runaway
Bay & the sea beyond.
It was when I turned & looked into the block that I suddenly felt the
real magic. Yes, a lovely area here has been cleared all ready to build, but
beyond that was dense and untouched nature with the sun dappled through the
trees and the birds singing in the wilderness that forms the wide back area
of the land. I hardly heard even the whisper of a car, just the sounds of
nature all around me. The locals say there are koalas here too. But I didn’t
see them. They tell me you see & hear them in the evening.
I reluctantly strolled back to the building area and looked around me there.
I saw a ready made little garden by the front gate, a couple of new green
polly tanks waiting for rain water & even a smart new mailbox with street
number. All services are underground here so there are no ugly overhead wires
to insult your eyes.
The seller informs us that a contour plan is already available for the building
site & a concept plan for a home is being drawn up. As you can see from
our map, this land is less than 10 minutes from the Tamborine Mountain Golf
Course & only 15 minutes from Nerang. Yet, it feels a 100 miles from that
sort of civilisation
