“Bella” is a single level colonial style home with verandahs on 3 sides plus a large covered rear patio looking into the pretty back garden. It is located close to the Anglican Church and within easy walking distance of Joalah National Park as well as Curtis Falls with its cafes and licensed restaurants. It has been home to a couple and their 2 tiny dogs for some years now and they have made it into a dream home for themselves as well as a secure home for their doggie family. Work commitments have taken them to the inland and they are leaving behind their fully set-up home ready to welcome guests while they are absent.
The owners have beautified both the house and garden in so many ways. Polished timber floors with rugs make it an ideal home for people as well as dogs to stay. Gorgeous timber and glass doors open out from every room onto the verandahs and matching double hung windows add to the country colonial feeling. The living area is perfectly set-up for 4 people with a quality leather 3 seater lounge and 2 matching chairs. Two more comfy new chairs with pouffes are on the front verandah. If friends drop in, those verandah chairs can be brought in for extra seating. In warm weather, just open up the 3 sets of French doors for cooling breezes, in winter, close the doors and light the big slow combustion wood fire.
If you enjoy cooking, then this kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare and serve a mighty meal, including an array of good frying pans that most of us wish we owned. Then there is a dishwasher ready to make the clean up a lot easier. Of course, there is a big gas BBQ sitting out on the verandah just begging to be used too.
The air conditioned main bedroom with its King size bed is large and opens out to both front and side verandahs. Just open the doors to the side verandah and duck into the sauna, then snuggle into bed and watch TV until you fall to sleep.
NOTE FOR DOG OWNERS: The verandahs are securely gated at both sets of steps and also have strong bird netting all around to prevent even the smallest dogs getting off them. There is an inner rear garden area surrounding the back patio that been fenced and gated to keep big and small dogs safely in their own back yard. Just remember to Frontline your dog for ticks a couple of days before bringing them to stay on Tamborine Mountain, unless you live in a tick area where Frontline (or similar) is just part of the normal routine.
