There
is something special about Wongawallen Road in Old Eagle Heights - Maybe it is
all the trees & beautiful gardens that line
this winding street, then again it might have something to do with the many
traditional homes that can be glimpsed through the greenery. Jessie MacDonald’s
Cottage is one of those captivating 1920’s homes with moss laden original
Terra Cotta roof & tall brick chimney. You sense the magic of this yesteryear
cottage as you espy it through the array of trees and flowering shrubs that make
up the front garden.
The street view divulges little as, like so many of its neighbours on
the northern side of Wongawallen Road, this home has been oriented to the
back where the winter sun shines in and the outlook encompasses rainforest & greenery
rather than roof tops.
Relaxation comes with the traditional interior design and decor here that
includes timber panelling, raked ceilings and that restful feeling of comfortable
soft floral armchairs.
It is just an easy walk to Gallery Walk and even easier walk to the MacDonald
section of Tamborine National Park from Jessie MacDonald’s Cottage.
The Eagle Heights shops with bakery, bottle shop grocery store & Thai
takeaway is also within comfortable walking distance.
A couple more of our Holiday Cottages are also located in Wongawallen
Road. Between them there is sufficient space to accommodate the whole extended
family or wedding group in comfort close together. |
