“Sunset Ridge” is not your ultra modern luxury home, but a very comfortable & relaxing older style home in an enchanting location with glorious views & dreamy sunsets to challenge the most artistic photographer. The home is set well back from the road on over an acre of flat land with many beautiful shrubs & trees giving privacy to the open front lawn areas where folk can play outdoors.
When the owners first purchased “Sunset Ridge” years ago as their own private getaway, we added it to a our then short list of holiday houses available for rental. The owners still come to their mountain escape on a fairly regular basis. Recently they noted a few things needing attention, so they have had the house repainted inside, added some new neat blinds and had a brand new timber kitchen installed with all mod. cons. including a stainless steel wall oven & dishwasher. They have also updated the lounge furniture & added an extra dining table & chairs for people who want a bigger party.
This getaway is really just the sort of place for people who want a real laid back escape. There is a huge lounge to sprawl out on as well as lots of comfortable arm chairs that beckon you to grab a book, turn on the music and relax. The slow combustion wood fire just adds to the comfort & desire to relax on cool winter evenings.
“Sunset Ridge” is the sort of escape that would appeal to a family with teenagers who just love to chill out. It also suits small groups who want somewhere to retreat to & who don’t mind sharing rooms. Interestingly enough, it has also had many repeat visits from a professional Brisbane couple who find its relative isolation, exotic views & casual ambience is just what the need to recharge their batteries.
