There is position and then then there is rare position, and this low set brick and tile home with above average character occupies one of the most beautifully serene and lovely corner positions you could eve hope to find. The home faces north-east into Corypha Court and looks over the low side of street and the homes on the opposite side to a huge patch of original rainforest complete with running creek and birds galore that is preserved for ever as an Environmental Corridor. The equally long frontage to Esme Street commands an incredible pretty vista across to picturesque rural residential acreages with many trees and well manicured lawns. If you’ve ever driven down Esme Street, you may well recall just how stunning the scenery is. Few cars pass this way and all the small streets in this quiet neighbourhood are interconnected, making it an ideal walking area for people who just want gentle exercise or enjoy walking their dog. You can get a good overview of the locality if you click on the Satellite button on the accompanying Google Map.
The home has been set back towards the rear of the land and is almost concealed from view by the gardens. While it is reasonably conventional in design, the lovely window filled bow walls in both the lounge and main bedroom suggest that a little more thought than just “throw up another brick home” went into designing and building it. All the rooms are of good size including the kitchen which has plenty of bench space as well as cupboard space. The windows and sliding glass doors are all made of cream anodised aluminium and the security screening matches the finish of the doors. All windows appear to have security locks too. No matter which direction you look out from the home, the windows frame a lush green and colour filled beauty that is enchanting throughout the year.
The main bedroom which is positioned on the south-eastern corner of the home commands a lovely vistas through its big bow wall of windows. It looks out passed the the trunk of the huge Silky Oak and between other trees and shrubs across the street and onto the tranquil picture of the acreage beyond. Both the second and third bedrooms have built-in robes and there is also a linen closet in this home for your storage needs. The interiors have been all recently repainted in a light cream shade that contrasts well with the dark slate floors and there is ample natural light flowing in to every room in the house, including the laundry.
Yes! We have already raved a bit about the garden, but we must stress again that this is a garden above reproach. Indeed, it is so beautiful and well planned that it really does deserve to be part of the annual Open Gardens display. Colour is present throughout the full 4 seasons here by way of both flowering plants and a striking array of varied coloured foliage ranging from the very dark red foliage from Prunus shrubs to bright yellow spring foliage from a tree that we have not yet been able to put a name to. There are rock walled gardens full of greenery, flowering spring bulbs and perennials, wide concrete paved outdoor areas and free flowing immaculate lawns here too. But the big east facing, elevated outdoor dining area is simple awesome as the photos show.
