Liz Angell

Liz Angell joined the Lane Team in January 2006. In just a few short weeks Liz managed to completely reorganise the entire rental department & the office management. Time consuming & antiquated ways of doing things were replaced with streamlined management systems utilising our excellent office & rental management computer programme to its full potential. Her cheery personality & positive, can-do attitude was like a breath of fresh air.

Liz brought a wealth of real estate & rental management experience to Lane Realty. In the 20 years since she moved to the Gold Coast from Melbourne, Liz has worked in the rental & management aspects of agencies such as L J Hooker Surfers Paradise, Bob Rollington First National & L J Hooker Southport. Liz was working with Paul Vertullo, Professionals at Paradise Point when Helen finally convinced her that it was time to stop commuting to the Coast & take on the challenge of creating what Helen calls “Lane Realty Version 10.4”! Helen has revamped Lane Realty quite a few times over her 20 years of running the agency, hence her computer programme related reference to the that revamp involving Liz & our management systems as “Version 10.4”.

In between her various rental management & administrative roles, Liz also managed to spend time as a demonstrator for a couple of the office management computer programmes, including 2 years demonstrating RealOz, the programme used by Lane Realty. Liz has also run her own company working as a trouble shooter for real estate agents with trust account problems & lectured for the REIQ in their rental management training programme.

Liz & Helen first met when they were both members of the REIQ Gold Coast branch in the nineties. At that stage Liz was representing the Rental Management Chapter of the REIQ on the REIQ Branch Committee. A firm friendship, based on a mutual intolerance of wrong thinking & stupidity, rapidly developed. When Liz & family decided to move to Tamborine Mountain in 2001 Liz phoned Helen & soon found the new family home here through Lane Realty.

Liz Angell holds a full real estate agent license. Since joining Lane Realty Liz effectively ran the administrative side of the office for most of 2006 while Helen was a “cot case” with her back. She then handled the Rental Management & Trust Accounting aspects for a further 12 months. She has now relinquished the rental management to Nina and the Trust Accounting to Marion in order to step into the sales side of the business. Maybe we should think of the latest reorganisation as “Lane Realty 10.5”!

In her 2 and ½ years with the company Liz has developed an extensive knowledge & understanding of the local property market. Both buyers & sellers will find Liz a good listener and highly experienced negotiator. Liz is a problem solver who enjoys a challenge & understands what is involved in in real estate sales. Her bright & breezy personality coupled with a good sense of humour mean that people walking into our agency or phoning in will find they are greeted with a smile & ready assistance from Liz.
